Delete Your Data

What Would Allah Do

You can erase everything Hakim remembers about you whenever you want, and you do not need to give a reason. The Android app has no accounts — your conversations are tied to an anonymous ID that lives on your phone — so there are two ways to do it.

Fastest: do it in the app

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Your data and tap Delete my data.

Your conversations, Hakim’s memory note and your usage record are erased from our servers immediately. This is permanent.

Or ask us by email

If the button does not work for you, or you have already uninstalled the app, use the two steps below.

Step 1: Find your anonymous ID

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Your data. Your anonymous ID is shown there.

Step 2: Email us the ID

Email support@whatwouldallahdo.com with the subject line “Delete my data” and your anonymous ID (the Settings screen has a link that pre-fills this email for you).

Because the ID is anonymous, it is the only thing we need — and the only thing that can connect the request to your conversations.

What gets deleted

When we receive your request, we delete:

The in-app button works at once; a request by email is completed within 30 days. Either way it is permanent. We cannot restore your conversations afterward. To also clear what is stored on the phone itself (bookmarks, prayer log, settings), uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.

Good to know

Reports. If you tapped Report a wrong answer under one of Hakim’s replies, that report is stored without your anonymous ID, so the button cannot find it. Email us its wording and we will remove it.

Website sign-in. If you signed in with Google on the website (the Android app has no sign-in), use Delete my data in Settings there, or email us.

Subscriptions. There is no paid plan today. If one launches, this page will explain how to cancel it.
