Delete Your Data
What Would Allah Do
You can erase everything Hakim remembers about you whenever you want, and you do not need to give a reason. The app has no accounts — your conversations are tied to an anonymous ID that lives on your phone — so deletion has two parts.
Step 1: Find your anonymous ID
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Your data. Your anonymous ID is shown there.
Step 2: Email us the ID
Email support@whatwouldallahdo.com with the subject line “Delete my data” and your anonymous ID (the Settings screen has a link that pre-fills this email for you).
Because the ID is anonymous, it is the only thing we need — and the only thing that can connect the request to your conversations.
What gets deleted
When we receive your request, we delete:
- All of your conversation transcripts with Hakim,
- Hakim’s private memory note about you,
- Your daily usage ledger.
Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request, and it is permanent. We cannot restore your conversations afterward. To also clear what is stored on the phone itself (bookmarks, prayer log, settings), uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.
When accounts launch
When “Continue with Google” sign-in launches, this page will be updated with an in-app Delete account button and instructions for cancelling a Google Play subscription. The 30-day promise stays the same.
